About Mandalas
~ for healing, blessing, & celebration
Mandalas are based on an ancient Tibetan sacred art form used as a meditation on Divinity and the Cosmos. In my mandalas, painted in watercolor over craypas drawing, I have adapted the use of Tibetan radial symmetry to express a heartfelt prayer for the healing of a person who is experiencing an illness, going through a challenging period in their life, or for an occasion of celebration. These commissioned mandalas are individually painted using symbolic shapes and colors to create a vision of wholeness. This vision, I believe, is a powerful tool to support the wholeness or healing of the recipient. You may order one for someone you care about, requesting favorite colors, specific symbols and and your choice of mantra (words), to create a powerful expression of your compassion.
I will paint an original mandala for you or your loved one for healing, blessing or celebration on commission at the rate of $75 for a 9x12 framable painting.

Pledge for Peace: I have pledged 10% of the revenues from the sale of my mandala cards to charity -- In 2007,!0% went to the Central Asia Institue, which promotes peace and stability in the Middle East through its mission to build schools for girls in Afghanistan and Pakistan. In 2008 10% will go to The Woodstock Community Food Shelf.
